ITERATION 1.0 DISCOVERY

USER RESEARCH
1) Many users (i.e. addicts) have a regular meeting they attend
2) In an emergency, users need to find the next closest meeting
3) Addicts miss meetings because of misread important metrics like time, location, or type of meeting.
4) There are numerous types of users with different financial means
5) Addicts want many ways to get to a meeting
6) The first meeting can be the most important
7) Street addicts connect to meetings through other social services such as shelters

The Problem: The process of getting to a narcotics recovery meeting is overly complicated. Addicts need to attend meetings to maintain their sobriety yet sometimes they miss meetings through simple misunderstandings. There are various types and groups of meetings spread over numerous sites so search can be difficult and time consuming.

CORE QUESTIONS
Do addicts have access to smart phones?
Do I need an app?
What types of addicts am I serving?
What travel options can I make available?
What are common mistakes that addicts make when seeking a meeting?
What are the preferred travel options for addicts?
What is the correct categorization of meetings?
